Landscape Design Pricing

Design is the foundation of a successful landscape. A well-developed plan helps prevent costly mistakes and ensures long-term success.

Custom landscape designs are tailored to your property, goals, and site conditions. Pricing varies depending on the size of the space, number of areas included, and overall complexity.

Typical design investment:

  • Small garden areas: starting at $1,200
  • Single areas (front yard or backyard): starting at $2,200
  • Average suburban properties: starting at $3,200
  • Larger or multi-area properties: $4,500+

Each design is developed to provide a clear, cohesive plan that can be implemented over time or installed as a complete project.

Design + Installation

Many clients choose to move forward with installation after completing their design. When installation is completed through EARTHeim, a portion of the design investment may be credited toward the project.

Individual Landscape Elements

The following ranges are provided to give a general sense of investment for individual landscape features. Actual pricing depends on site conditions, materials, and how each element integrates into the overall design.

Paver Patios, Walkways

Typically $12,000 – $25,000+

Paver patios create a durable and inviting outdoor living space for gathering, dining, or relaxing. Designed to fit the layout of your home and landscape, patios can range from simple seating areas to larger, multi-use spaces with defined zones.

Thoughtful layout, proper base preparation, and material selection are essential to ensure long-term performance and a cohesive look within the landscape.

Varies based on:
Size and layout
Base preparation and grading
Paver selection and pattern

Pergolas & Pavilions

Typically $5,000 – $15,000+

Pergolas and pavilions add structure, shade, and architectural interest to an outdoor space. They help define gathering areas and can create a sense of enclosure while still feeling open to the surrounding landscape.

These structures can be designed as a focal point within the garden or integrated with patios and seating areas to enhance comfort and usability throughout the seasons.

Varies based on:
Size and materials
Custom vs. prefabricated
Site conditions and installation complexity

Water Features (Fountains & Small Ponds)

Typically $8,000 – $20,000+

Water features can also be designed to support wildlife and pollinators, and may include additional planting and habitat considerations.

Varies based on:

  • Size and type
  • Excavation and site access
  • Liner, pump, and filtration system
  • Stone, gravel, and surrounding landscape integration

Fire Pits / Fire Features

Typically $2,500 – $10,000+

Fire features extend the use of outdoor spaces into cooler seasons and create a natural gathering point within the landscape. Whether simple or more integrated, they add warmth, ambiance, and a sense of place.

Fire pits can be designed as standalone features or incorporated into a larger patio or seating area for a more cohesive outdoor living experience.

Varies based on:
Gas vs. wood-burning
Built-in vs. portable
