Support local and small businesses as much possible! Small businesses provide the community with resources. Operating a small business is a huge challenge, so support them when at all possible.

When purchasing plants, ask the nursery if the plants being sold could contain neonicitinoid pesticides or other chemicals. “Neonics” can persist in plants for several years and will kill or make pollinators very sick if they come into contact with any part of the plant like pollen or eating the leaves.
